![]() Welcome to Ties That Bind! First and foremost, my life is a creative journey. My first love is working with needle, thread, and fabric, and am currently playing, experimenting, and mastering the art of longarm machine quilting. Although, I do love experimenting with altered books, watercolors, and mixed media collage. My past has been filled with many adventures, including a B.A. in Communications, a three year experiment in law school, several years as a member of an all-woman sailing crew, travels to Tahiti, Mexico, Nova Scotia, Switzerland, and France. My wearable art has been juried into Bazaar Del Mundo Fashion shows, I have been published in “Cloth Paper Scissors” and “Altered Couture” magazines, participated in local juried art shows, juried into “Houses From Here and There”, sponsored by “Quiltmania” magazine, and have been honored with a couple of “Viewer’s Choice” awards in local guild shows. I constantly enter shows and competitions to challenge myself to do my best work and stretch my creativity. From time to time, I teach at my quilt guilds or local quilt shops. When I’m not creating something, you can find me at a local quilt shop, book store, art supply store, or in the garden with my three little fur baby shih tzus, Queenie, Bosley, and Barney. Take a look around, and contact me if you like what you see. I would love to collaborate with you on any project from traditional quilts to experimental fiber art. I usually have quilts made for sale, and will work on custom projects for special occasions.
